2 YEARS! / THE FINAL CHAPTER

Well, this will be my last email.
We found another family this week. I was working with E. Cheshire on a trade-off and we had a lot of fun. He is a rad missionary.
I got to do something really fun this week. he four black Rock elders went to help "sister White" with a house she owns. It is very big and somewhat empty. When we got there, she didnt have keys and asked us to break in.... AND OH BOY, I was like McGyver! I went from window to window, and looked around for a way in. I climbed on the house and over into the back yard. I then found some hidden keys buried in rubble, and it unlocked a storage room connected to the house, but while exploring it more, I found a secret wall that was a door into the house. It was so cool!! I am McGyver!
We traveled to Sis. Teresa's house for lunch. She lives in my old area near Oistins. She fed us roti and she shared how much it meant to her to have us over, and eating West Indian food. I said my good byes to her.
We had a Barbados service project with all the missionaries, and the missionaries visiting from Martinique. We picked up trash along the sea shore. It was fun cause we did it with my friend, President Owen Waldron. He is hilarious. Seriously, you could be on your death bed, and he would make it the funniest thing in the world. Great guy.
E. Luzayadio is now going to be with E. Jack... I knew It! They will have much success.
President Fisher was at church by chance yesterday, and I, along with other departing missionaries, was asked to bear my testimony in church. I expressed my love for them and the Caribbean people.
Some people were crying, and it was something really tender to witness.

I want to thank all of my friends for emailing me, and supporting me even on the hardest days.
I want to thank my family.  I know that I have drawn closer to them even though we have been far apart.

I love my Savior, I bear testimony that He lives.

It was the BEST TWO YEARS!

I will leave these 2 scriptures as my final words.

2 Tim. 4:7
3 John 1:13-14

I love you all!
I will see you at home!

With great love,
Grant

My Birthday / Smart Phones / Incoming Hurricane

My birthday was pretty fun. (Alma 50:16) The Elders and Sisters in my district brought treats, and sang me happy birthday. I even bought a pint of "Ben n Jerrys" Ice cream too. We did service for a lady that same day. She is a member from Canada and she made sure to feed us well, and have cake and ice cream too! Sis. White is such a nice lady.

Our mission got approved for everyone to have a  big smart phone! We are also using this cool app called: WhatsApp. It is really useful to keep in touch with people now. I am just bummed because they finally approve this stuff right as I am about to leave my mission!!

E. Luzayadio took a tumble on his bike this week. He actually face-planted and scrapped his chin and hand bad. He is better now.
We watched the "Face-to-Face" event with Quentin L. Cook! It was legit! I got to say, I learned things I never knew while watching it, and my testimony has only grown.
Also, Martinique, St. Lucia, and Barbados are now in a hurricane path. We are packing up and will be on standby tomorrow to see how bad it will be..... JUST HOPE that it doesn't  mash the airport up! I am going home soon!
Sadly, Camille didn't come to church, but she is taking part in the financial classes the church offers and she love it!
She expressed how grateful she was for us over the phone on Sunday evening.
Well, This is my second to last email, and I cant believe where the time has time gone.
I love you all! thanks for the birthday wishes!
Love,
Grant

Working w/ Pres. Fisher / Prophet Broadcast w/ Caribbean!

Last P-day we went bowling and My old friend, president Waldron came too! What A Goofball! I love him!
Other missionaries came with us to that.
We got a random call from the mission president. President Fisher wanted to work with us for half the day. So, He came and when tracting, i split up wit Jeff and He with President. It was cool. We had a lesson with this cool lady named Camille! We set a Baptismal date too! we got to teach her 4 times this week! So fun!

President Nelson Unexpectedly flew to the Dominican Republic and had a broadcast to whole Caribbean.  He had a 2 hour meeting with the missionaries, and a 2 hour meeting with the members. 4 general authorities spoke, and 5 mission presidents! E. Renlund mentioned how the Savior loves to mend and fix things that are broke... That was something I apply to my self spiritually and physically cause... I am an Engineer! It was all great and powerful! just waiting until Pres. Nelson announces the Barbados temple.
Anyway, I don't know how many days I got, so don't ask!
I love you all! Have a good one!

August 27, 2018

Due to the lack of communication between me and my companion, we were separated for the week. He went with the Ap's and i with the ZL's.
The morning consisted of running around the garrison field (it is a big beautiful horse track).
Each morning, I would be seeing missionaries I knew, sometimes flown in fron other islands like: E. Jack, Newman, Ackely etc...
It was cool.
I got to be with e. Mijangos and Grant for  two days while they did a trade-off with the Zls. The whole week was filled with driving in the truck and contacting in the blazing sun.
Last night, I got returned to my area and with my companion.
Its good to be back in WhiteHall. I am striving to give my very best for my last few weeks.
I love and miss you all1

23 Months / Driving Range

Got 30 days left now.Where did the time go? The mission really does go fast.
This week, we were exploring our area more, and I noticed that some of ours has been moved fom the Fairfield area. So I got to visit, and reschedule with people I used to know at the beginning of my mission. One of them being named Erasmus. He recognized me too! It was like strolling down memory lane.
We got a bread fruit this week and we cooked it the "white-boy" way.... one the stove! When you roast a breadfruit, you are supposed to put it in the fire. But I Jerry-rigged a way.
It was ripe and it makes it taste really sweet! Kinda like Custard. So good!
We were introduced to a family we are now teaching from Guyana! Guyanese people are awesome!
We played futball with lots of locals this week. We walk to a playing field, and people are nice enough to let us join. We played well and had fun.
For P-day, We went to the driving range with E. Adams, Cheshire, Mijangos, Grant, and the sisters. It was so much fun! I kept pounding them out of the park and it was SO stress relieving!
I had a lot fun.
I also had my last zone conference yesterday.
Cant wait to see everyone again!
I love you all!

Got bikes / Karaoke With President!

This week, I have worked harder on communication this week. Because, I dont speak French well, and E. Luzayadio is still learning English, so being united is somewhat difficult. The Ap's and a Zl speak french so they help explain things alot for him.
I want to thank the YW from my homeward back home! thank so much for the support! And a special thanks to Sister Kitchen!
You never know what good something like that does.
We were able to locate some more bike, so we aren't walking so much. The Barbados summer heat is BRUTAL!
On Friday night, there was a Karaoke event and a lot of people came! President and Sister Fisher came and they sang too! It was so funny! I sang "Leaving on a jet plane -John Denver''. The Laugh i got from the people there was worth the scolding I took from president... i am JUST Kidding! he was laughing too!
E. Luzayadio and i both gave 20 min. talks in church, and I helped him translate and spell check his talk. he did a very great job despite some members being a little judgmental.
Its going great. We want more people to teach. Some prayers wouldnt hurt.
Well, i love and miss you all!
take care!

Friendly 2017 Nissan GT-R / CARNIVAL

We have been around the block many times, trying to find all of the members and introduce ourselves more and invite L.A. to come to church.
I got to do a trade-off with my good Canadian friend, Elder Adams. We went in to his area(AKA my old first area) and visited every person I taught! Some people were in the exact spot I found them, Like on their front porch. Some were so excited to see me again!
While on that trade-off, We both quickly noticed a 2017 Gt-r and WE KNOW that this car is powerful... We shouted at the guy and gave him a big thumbs up... AND he turned on to our street, Slowed down, and peeled out!! OH man! PURE power! it was like thunder in my chest! That made my day!
I was fasting this Sunday, and While doing so, I saw the Lord's hand in our efforts. I have only written them down. BUT they are REAL.
We had Carnival yesterday and it came right down the street wgere I live... it was nuts! It is literally the great and spacious building, BUT on wheels!
It sad to see people come form different parts of the world to take part in it.

Well, The week has been alright. We are still searching for the elect, I also got my flight itinerary... SO much fun!
I love my mission.
I love you all1
have a good one!

Working White Hall

E. Luzayadio finally got his checked luggage back. He was so happy about that. He put up his Congo flag and put on his Congo jersey. he is funny.
President and sister Fisher personally delivered it to our apartment. While they were there, they gave uplifting words and gave me some more materials to study French.
We have been doing so much walking in this blistering heat. the summer here is brutal! We are getting a better feel for the area and have high hopes to find someone to REALLY teach this week.
I have taken apart the area and put it back together cause it was a mess. We are digging real hard to find just someone in it.
yesterday in church was cool. There is a member here who holds a leadership position, and I knew him when i started my mission. he was re-baptized and I was one of the few to attend that.
He gave a great talk about Hope and his re-conversion story and spoke about how welcomed he has felt since coming back.
I was read in Helaman 3:28. it speaks of how the gate is open unto ALL.
That includes Bajans, sinners, or both.

I love and miss you all VERY much.

I return September 20th 2018.

Love,
-Grant

Moved To Black Rock

Here's a picture I painted for for the Branch president in Oistins.
I know it is garbage, but he insisted I make a painting for him.

Well, Seems like Oistins is doing great.
E. grant and Mijangos and I were having lots of fun. The members sure love us.
That changed when I moved to the other side of the island and reopend an old area called: White Hall.
ELDER LUZAYADIO from Congo of Africa finally reached here after 1 year of waiting!
It is good to have him.
He doesn't speak English well at all. We have have to do "charades" somtimes for comunication, but I love him. he is super nice and kind.
He had many miracles while traveling here. He completely by-passed security, and the plane waited an additional 45 minutes for him to get on board. The Lord is at the helm.
Saturday morning, I met him with the Ap's and the mission president at the mission home. He asked for me to give him a blessing right there, and vice-versa he gave one to me afterwards. The Ap's, who speak freanch, translated both blessings.
It was a neat experience I will never forget .
President Fisher told me, and I soon relized, that I needed to learn french to help this new Elder learn English.
I am grateful for the challenge!
I hope to find much success in this, and find an even greater love for my mission.
For P-day we went to the wld life reserve. BUT we missed the feeding hours, so monkeys were scarce.
It was fun still though.
Well, Thats all for this week.
I love you all! have a great week and stay safe.

22 Months!/ Unexpected Transfer Call

I reached 22 months, and it feels weirder an weirder every day. Time is slipping away.
This week, President Waldron lost a chess match and had to take us out to eat. He bought us lunch and drove us to a nice beach side restaurant. He is like our body guard... NO one messes with us when He is around.
We also did some Garden work with him and his parents. They run a garden on church owned property.... not sure why, but it was fun!
A couple nights ago, We were in Oistins, and a lot of bad  things happened, and lessons fell through and we were far from home, and it was late too.
I just sat down on a lot of grass and just laid down I was so tired. We were miles away from home, and I shouted at a car turning a corner and he stopped and got out to talk to us. He saw that we needed a ride and so he took us ALL of the way home! "Orley" was his name... BLESS his heart. I will never forget that name!
A tender Mercy of the Lord! We do our best, and Jesus does the rest.
We taught Jonothans mom this week, and she was so anti against us.... That was sad....  All people need to do, is listen and "TRY' our words....
I perceived a phone call Friday morning and The Ap's gave me a Transfer call to Move to White Hall, Black Rock Barbados. I will be with an French African Elder (Who has been waiting for his Visa to come for a WHOLE entire year!)
I will teach him English and It should be fun!
I am, sad to know that i am leaving here. I will deeply miss president Waldron and many other members.
I join him this Thursday. We need prayers so that this elder can make it. This is his THIRD attempt to fly to the mission! hopefully his new USA visa will work for him.
The church IS TRUE. I love these people. I love my mission.
I would like to hear from friends, so send me an email.
Have a great week fam!

Happy 4th of July!

We decided that we needed to visit all of the members in our area, so we did and while doing we so, The members are feeding us in the process, SO it is a win-win.
Happy 4th of July to everyone. I miss this holiday, and cant wait to celebrate it next year with friends and family.
To celebrate the holiday here, we bought a clean, but large octopus, or a "Sea cat"
I cooked it. I wish i would have fried it, but it tasted great steamed.

President Waldron has some rabbits out back, and this week two females had a total of 12 together! BUT one of the mothers didn't feed here babies, and some others died as well, leaving three healthy one left.
I gave a talk in sacrament meeting and I used Ephesian 2:19 and related it for everyone in the branch to help gather Israel. I felt happy a bout it, I just hope that people will act on it.
We taught lessons to many people including, "Leanne", then another couple "Andre and Adicia" We taught both of them a different times the Word of Wisdom, and FULLY understood it, and made a  commitment to keep it.
Just feels great when people are "ALL-IN"

I am good all-in-all.
Cant believe I got like less than 10 weeks left. The mission is flying by.
Love you!
-Grant

A New Mission President & Companion - July 2, 2018

Elder Mijangos, from Guatemala, is a riot! He is super fun, and a really great teacher!
He s very loving, and a great addition to the companionship. Yes, we are in a trio. We are all motivated to work very hard, so we are looking for those miracles.
Before He arrived, we got to house some of my old friends from Sint Maarten. They were in transit to different countries. I have really come to love E. Jackson + Klunker.
I was biking this week, and my ankle got punctured by the pedal on my bike. It is very deep, and I am worried about infection this time. Hope it heals quick.
President and Sister Fisher arrived on Friday, and the Herringtons left Saturday. They are from California, so that is cool. They have given their ALL to fulfill this calling. This is devotion and conversion at its finest. They are extremely loving, and excited. I cant imagine being a mission president here because, this is an enormous task to tackle. They are always in my prayers.
I felt sick in my heart this week. I have times where I am unsure what to do, and how to handle things, but I found Alma 42:31. I know that I have chosen to do this. I love my mission, and I love the people.
I know a surety of what we teach and share is true. [Mathew 14:33]
Have the best week ever!

Z.C./Transfer Calls/Herringtons Farewell

We had our last Zone conference with the Herringtons. They are such devoted, and wonderful people.
President Herrington, who is also a temple sealer, gave powerful words of eternal life and eternal marriage. He gave powerful blessings to all of the missionaries collectivly. What a great and powerful meeting.
The Herringtons had a farewell party at another church. Members gave them presents, and missionaries gave him ties, a pretty plaque, and a custom leather belt.
The Herringtons leave this Thursday, and the Fischers arrive this Wednesday.
I will miss them, but luckily, I will get to see them at the next reunion before this next General Conference.
This week we had a soursop ripening on our kitchen counter and Sister Waldron made it into juice.... It is SO good! It is pure nectar!
We are teaching two awesome referrals, who live right next to the Sandals beach resort in our area...... Believe me, this aint no vacation. They are super awesome! They read the BoM quite a bit.
Transfer calls arrived Saturday, and E. Grant and I are training together here in Kingsland! We are truing a fresh greeny from Guatemala! E. Mijangos!
Cant wait to welcome him!
E. Grant is super excited to train. I am too. This is my second time.
I officially have less than two transfers, and almost 12 weeks left!
The mission is great and TRUE.
Have a great week!

21 Months In The Mission!!

Hey Fam.
We cut to cut sugar cane grass for service this week.... thing is, sugar cane grass is the equivalent of cutting knives! If you touch it, you will cut your hand!My laft hand is shredded from that.
On Wednesday, I hit 21 months... I remember when I had 21 months left! Time sure does fly.
We had a ZL trade-off and I went with Elder Nordgren. He is super awesome. While opening coconuts with my bare hands for a lady, E. Nordgren cut his hand while scooping out the coconut with a knife! I sure put my Boy scout first aid to work! Hahaha. I just dumped super glue on it, and it has made a great recovery!
A shout-out to Bro. Nuffer for teaching me that!
There was baptism on Saturday for the sisters. While filling the font, we found a massive centipede! The people here kill them every time they see them.
WE had a great lesson with Henry Alfred again. We plan to teach him about baptism for the dead. He was concerned with the Spirit world, Priesthood, and reformers from the early centuries. The Spirit answered those so well!
Jonathan came to church again. afterwards, he asked us more about what tithing is. He was so happy to hear that we ONLY pay 10%. He thought we payed all! Some members do though.... Again, The spirit taught him so well the importance of tithing.
After the lesson, he said: "I need to fast  for what day I will get baptized" So awesome!
Everything is good here. The mission president and his wife leave next week, and the members here are preparing for their farewell.
I hope you all have a super week!
-Grant

The Return To My First Area!!

Howdy Fam.
This morning, I went to my first area in the mission, Black Rock. WE ate "Mapps" and then visited my old apartment, and some old members.
It was SO weird being back. Words cannot describe the joy too.
This week, we did service for president Waldron in his plant nursery.
We got fed by members, including some Canadians (The Rooks) They are a lovely family. Sadly they return home tomorrow.
We had a trade-off with the assistants again. I went with my old buddy, elder Hendricks. we did a lot of contacting, and found a lot potentials.
We had many times this week where we picked mangoes for members and
Mango season is the best in the Caribbean.
The branches here in Barbados have made a choir and we joined it for President and Sis. Herrington's Farewell. They leave at the end of this month. Our main investigator, Jonathan, comes with us to those! We do everything with him and Mathew.
E, Grant and I taught an amazing lesson with a guy SUPER close by. His name is Wayne and he just thanked us so much for helping him with the understanding the bible.
We plan to teach him more.
Mom and Dad sent me a package and that was a lot of fun.
This week, I will hit my 21 month mark.... time is going faster.
 It is weird.
I love and miss you all!
Have a great week!
-Grant

Hello, Our Names Are Elder Grant & Elder Jacobson

It was the branch president birthday this week. We got him his favorite chips, played chess and did push up for every game we lost.
Thing is, When we play chess with him. We either get smarter or stronger.... hehe
President Waldron got birds for his birthday, BUT we almost caught a beautiful wild one! I got so close to it!
We got fed by members alot this week. That was nice. They are solid, dedicated members here.

Today for P-day, we did miny-golfing at a beach resort. It was fun. I did well, and had a bunch of fun. I would even do it again.

Our main investigator, Johnathan, is doing well. both Mathew and him came to church again. Johnathan comes to us to read the BoM because his mom doesnt want it in the house. In his heart, he knows it is good. It has been great to help him in his journey.

The Gospel IS INDEED TRUE!
I know it.
I love and miss you all.
-Elder Jacobson

Acupuncture!!/Breadfruit is Life!

Yes,
My companion, Elder Grant, knows and has [clean & new] needles... He has done acupuncture to all of his companions
It helps with neck and back pain. It didnt hurt at all and was a lot of fun.
We find wild monkeys in our area a lot. Its nothing new, but kinda cool to see them.
We went to pick bread fruit and mangoes with our friend Jonathan and his siblings.
We brought them back and fried them up. Super good. It is like a giant tree potato.
We also had a french missionary stay with us for a day. He is getting a visa renewed, but we brought him with us to some service in president Waldrons garden.
We enjoy playing chess with president, and helping him in his garden. I even beat him once this week!
We helped him with one of his rabbits. Its teeth got super long, and he clipped them with wire cutters while we held it. Surprisingly, it didn't even hurt the rabbit.
We have noticed much growth with Johnathan and Mathew. They are coming to church and come with us to appointments all on their own! They are some good kids. Also our good friends.
I found our this week from another missionary that my two old investigators we found and taught in St, Lucia, Mandla and Kindra, GOT BAPTIZED! What!
I got to email them today and they are doing great! Wow, I am so happy for them. They saw the blessing from living the gospel and now seek to visit the temple. What a family.
I love everyone back home and those in the Caribbean.
-Elder Jacobson

Back in Barbados!! May 22, 2018 update

We said goodbye to everyone in Sint Maarten. So many crazy things happened, but I will cover the main highlights.
When we said goodbye to the boys at the boys home.... They all cried! So sad..... let us see some success from our labors.
When we left Sint Maarten, we met a returning missionary from the Congo! He is going to Guadeloupe. we traded coins with each other and while we did, a massive fight broke out with a TSA officer, and a big lady! wow!
We eventually flew to Antigua, then to Barbados. I said goodbye to E. Larson when we arrived in Barbados, he got a flight to Grenada. After some trouble with immigration and using my cunning words to flatter them, I made it in!
I received the warmest welcome by E. Grant. He is super tidy and keeps things clean! i love it!

I got to meet our Landlord, who is also our branch president! He is the Best! So funny and nice! We pay chess with him, and he lets us use his gym!
This week we had karaoke night! and one of our investigators came! His name is JJ and he is 16. he also came to church, and brought a friend to work out with us.
Things are going great! Of course, every area has struggles, but I am feeling very confident in the success here.
I love you, Have the best week ever.

Transfers / Anguilla!

We have been working so hard to prepare our investigator, Thiami, for May 19th.
Perhaps the word of Wisdom may be a stumbling block for her, but who knows... She has a lot of faith.
We were able to teach a lesson at the boys home again, and we are not allowed to teach doctrine, but we shared the atonement! WOW! What a well received lesson. The counselors there, and the boys felt just some of the power from what the atonement truly is.

We got transfer calls late on Saturday night, and something very unexpected happened!
E. Larson is Going to blank an area in the valley of Grenada! NICE! He will be with an old friend of mine from St. Lucia. I will be LEAVING and serving in Kingsland, Barbados!!
I will be with another friend from St. Lucia BUT an old friend from back home!! E. Grant!!!! We knew each other back in middle school.
Well, I got to carry that news to my skype call for Mother's day.
That was great! oh it was so good to see the family again! It was my final skype

I feel I can conquer the mission now. Lets do this!
I am fly to Barbados on Wednesday. Prayers are much appreciated.
Thanks for the love and support!
have a Fantastic week!

Almost At My Last Skype- May 7, 2018

Happy Star Wars day!
Sure cant wait to see the movies when I get home.

We had a lesson with this lady named Annie. She was a ref feral from the other Cole Bay elders, and we somehow found her house. Her house is this very small one-room shock, but it is home. A lot of things were broken, and Elder Larson and I sat on this small bench. We shared a lesson with her, and she found it interesting. We got to know her better, and she began to cry! Just about the most heart-breaking thing to watch. Her family is struggling in Dominica, and she is living a hard life with family dying, money running short, and small problems everywhere. It was difficult to witness her situation. We shared some uplifting scriptures, and gave her hope. That is what the book did. It is giving her hope. We hope to see her progress.
Right after that, we visited Tymme and she was on the phone crying and talking to someone. When We finished, she asked us to say a prayer with her.

She and another  investigator of ours, Ampy, came to church. Tymme seem to really love it now.
We plan to set a baptismal date this week with her.

We had a fun night this week and it began to rain, but no elder wanted to pass up this opportunity, so we played in the pouring rain! it was a lot of fun. Wish I got pictures.

I sure love and miss you all. The words of encouragement you guys give is very much appreciated.
Love

Friends from Grenada / Stroop Waffles- May 2, 2018

If you have ever seen "the Best Two years' they eat a Dutch pastry called a "Stroop Waffle" they are VERY good! Extremely unhealthy but who cares.
We had a service project painting a house, sanding and staining. It was fun, but all 8 elders got burnt to a crisp!
Our investigator Tymme wanted to come to church again and we know she loved it.
Carnival was crazy this week and thank goodness it is over.
I got word that Sis. P. and her husband Ivan were coming to St. Maarten for a cruise, and She did!
she brought E. Orme and I and our companions treats! She is awesome! While we talked with them, Many people from the cruise ship recognized us! I felt famous... We had at least 6 different groups say hi to us and tell us that they were members.
When we said our goodbyes to them, we had to walk home through a carnival parade....  it was insane.
I don't know why the still have this tradition.

Well, I love and miss you all! cant wait to see my family soon!
Love,
-Grant

19 Months in the Mission!

E. Larson and I are working our area well. We get the chance to visit a "boys home" and share a message with them. We are not allowed to teach our doctrine, but we can share a uplifting thought with them. It is great way to still be a missionary.
Carnival started this week here in Sint Maarten, and it is crazy just as usual!
There are big trucks with large speakers on them that drive around the island at night.
This week I hit 19 months, and it feels great. Sometimes it is stressful to think about coming home, but I still got time.
Yesterday, I gave a talk in church. I used Lynn G. Robbins talk from General conference, and I also used an article called: "Mindset" as well. My dad gave that article to me, and it has helped me very much. So, I thought I would share it with others.
We have found many new investigators this week. We are teaching many people from many different countries around the world. We teach some lessons in Spanish (I try to speak Spanish) and we also learn phrases in Dutch, French, and others.

We played some golf this morning with our mission president!! He is so cool! He and Sis. Herrington treated us to a nice lunch at a resort here. We have zone conference tomorrow, and it should be great!
Here is a picture of an iguana our land lords dog killed, and ate. There are a lot of them here!
Well, Hope you all have a great week!
Love,
-Grant

Flying up the island chain/ I'm in St. Martin!! - Update April 9, 2018

Boy, It has been hard to say good bye to the people of St. Lucia. I will miss that place and I hope I get to return again one day.
I took a flight from St. Lucia to St. Vincent, then Barbados then to Guadeloupe where I spent the night at a super fancy 4 star resort with other missionaries! I got stuck in St. vincent for 2 hours and Barbados for 3 hours... "Liat" is terrible! When Arriving in Barbados, I met 3 other elders coming with me to St. martin (Jackson, Orme, Bennett)
We spent the night at "La Creole" When Elder Cook came to dedicate the island, this is where he stayed ;)
It was so nice! It is owned by the french and the know how to cook real nice food! Oh The food was SO good! It was a party and a nice break from all the flying we do.
While on our way to St. martin the next day, I got to see MANY islands. I saw them all!
That was something really special, to witness the beauty of these tiny islands in this large sea.
Upon arrival in St. Martin, the damage done by hurricane Irma is incredible! Most large palm trees are blown down or sideways, buildings have been ravaged by debris and a lot of them are destroyed.
It is a lot better than it used to be. It is still taking a toll here, but its ok.
I met my new comp E. Larson, And I like him. He is super cool.
I hope we find much success here this transfer.
I would describe the climate here as a desert! It is very dry and not a lot of greenery. Maybe due to the past storm.
Well, we visited a small Star Wars museum here! It was neat. A lot of fun meeting "Nick Marley" He did made the Yoda character and many other props on the set.
I look forward to this coming week, and getting to know the island and the people here more.

Also, There are so many iguanas here! It is crazy!
I love and miss you all!
