23 Months / Driving Range

Got 30 days left now.Where did the time go? The mission really does go fast.
This week, we were exploring our area more, and I noticed that some of ours has been moved fom the Fairfield area. So I got to visit, and reschedule with people I used to know at the beginning of my mission. One of them being named Erasmus. He recognized me too! It was like strolling down memory lane.
We got a bread fruit this week and we cooked it the "white-boy" way.... one the stove! When you roast a breadfruit, you are supposed to put it in the fire. But I Jerry-rigged a way.
It was ripe and it makes it taste really sweet! Kinda like Custard. So good!
We were introduced to a family we are now teaching from Guyana! Guyanese people are awesome!
We played futball with lots of locals this week. We walk to a playing field, and people are nice enough to let us join. We played well and had fun.
For P-day, We went to the driving range with E. Adams, Cheshire, Mijangos, Grant, and the sisters. It was so much fun! I kept pounding them out of the park and it was SO stress relieving!
I had a lot fun.
I also had my last zone conference yesterday.
Cant wait to see everyone again!
I love you all!

Got bikes / Karaoke With President!

This week, I have worked harder on communication this week. Because, I dont speak French well, and E. Luzayadio is still learning English, so being united is somewhat difficult. The Ap's and a Zl speak french so they help explain things alot for him.
I want to thank the YW from my homeward back home! thank so much for the support! And a special thanks to Sister Kitchen!
You never know what good something like that does.
We were able to locate some more bike, so we aren't walking so much. The Barbados summer heat is BRUTAL!
On Friday night, there was a Karaoke event and a lot of people came! President and Sister Fisher came and they sang too! It was so funny! I sang "Leaving on a jet plane -John Denver''. The Laugh i got from the people there was worth the scolding I took from president... i am JUST Kidding! he was laughing too!
E. Luzayadio and i both gave 20 min. talks in church, and I helped him translate and spell check his talk. he did a very great job despite some members being a little judgmental.
Its going great. We want more people to teach. Some prayers wouldnt hurt.
Well, i love and miss you all!
take care!

Friendly 2017 Nissan GT-R / CARNIVAL

We have been around the block many times, trying to find all of the members and introduce ourselves more and invite L.A. to come to church.
I got to do a trade-off with my good Canadian friend, Elder Adams. We went in to his area(AKA my old first area) and visited every person I taught! Some people were in the exact spot I found them, Like on their front porch. Some were so excited to see me again!
While on that trade-off, We both quickly noticed a 2017 Gt-r and WE KNOW that this car is powerful... We shouted at the guy and gave him a big thumbs up... AND he turned on to our street, Slowed down, and peeled out!! OH man! PURE power! it was like thunder in my chest! That made my day!
I was fasting this Sunday, and While doing so, I saw the Lord's hand in our efforts. I have only written them down. BUT they are REAL.
We had Carnival yesterday and it came right down the street wgere I live... it was nuts! It is literally the great and spacious building, BUT on wheels!
It sad to see people come form different parts of the world to take part in it.

Well, The week has been alright. We are still searching for the elect, I also got my flight itinerary... SO much fun!
I love my mission.
I love you all1
have a good one!

Working White Hall

E. Luzayadio finally got his checked luggage back. He was so happy about that. He put up his Congo flag and put on his Congo jersey. he is funny.
President and sister Fisher personally delivered it to our apartment. While they were there, they gave uplifting words and gave me some more materials to study French.
We have been doing so much walking in this blistering heat. the summer here is brutal! We are getting a better feel for the area and have high hopes to find someone to REALLY teach this week.
I have taken apart the area and put it back together cause it was a mess. We are digging real hard to find just someone in it.
yesterday in church was cool. There is a member here who holds a leadership position, and I knew him when i started my mission. he was re-baptized and I was one of the few to attend that.
He gave a great talk about Hope and his re-conversion story and spoke about how welcomed he has felt since coming back.
I was read in Helaman 3:28. it speaks of how the gate is open unto ALL.
That includes Bajans, sinners, or both.

I love and miss you all VERY much.

I return September 20th 2018.

Love,
-Grant
